Children are the nation’s largest population segment that can’t influence legislators with their vote, yet they represent the leaders of future generations. Lobbyists influence policymakers on behalf of healthcare, tobacco, energy, the environment, senior citizens—and hundreds of others. They have strong influence in what happens—or doesn’t happen—in local, state and federal policymaking. Why? Because they have money.

Who lobbies on behalf of Ohio’s children? We do. Voices for Ohio’s Children. And you can too. Raise Your Voice for Kids is about generating strong grassroots support for Ohio’s children. Our combined voices provide the strength – and the volume – needed to ensure Ohio’s policymakers create laws to keep Ohio’s children safe, educated, healthy, connected and employable.

Your membership fee immediately begins helping Voices for Ohio’s Children advocate for what works best for kids—and your voice is an even greater contribution. Our skilled team members and our Public Policy Partners give us an important breadth and depth of knowledge when we approach policymakers. But your voice will show that you believe Voices for Ohio’s Children is the leading statewide organization in the child advocacy arena. With nearly 24 percent of Ohio’s resident below the age of 18, every voice matters. Your voice matters.

Members of Raise Your Voice for Kids will be an integral part of informing and educating Ohio’s policymakers. You can Raise Your Voice for Kids by writing or calling your elected officials, writing letters to the editor or testifying on behalf of children’s issues at the Ohio Statehouse.

When you Raise Your Voice for Kids, you will receive benefits that will help you stay informed on critical issues affecting children in Ohio. Your membership includes our twice-monthly e-newsletter and policy alerts with the latest updates on policies and programs that affect kids in Ohio.
