Voices is not only able to shape sound public policy, but serves as a convener to share information and provide educational opportunities for members of local communities. Kids Health Conference

As a Signature Event of Voices’ 20th Anniversary year, the 2016 Kids Health Conference will explore "Setting the Stage for Healthy Kids" so they can enjoy bright futures. Join us for this comprehensive look at kids' health with more than 25 workshops in two days. Registration coming soon!

Statehouse Kids Talk Series

Voices hosts Kids Talk policy briefings on the second Thursday of each month. The purpose of the briefings is to inform and educate policymakers and staff on issues that impact the safety and well-being of Ohio's children and their families. Each briefing features a youth/family perspective, an overview of a policy/issue area and a panel of Public Policy Partners who work in the policy/issue area.

Hear updates on important state issues, including the state budget,
Share insight about the issues facing children and families in your community, and
Receive updates on federal issues impacting children

We will also hear from YOU about the issues facing children and their families all across the state. We want to know what problems are unique to your neighborhoods so that we can foster an environment where all of Ohio's children can grow up safe, healthy, educated, connected and employable.

2016 Advocacy Day (complete)

Advancing Policy for Our Greatest Assets.
As a Signature Event for Voices’ 20th anniversary year, Advocacy Day provides an essential touch point for Ohio legislators and those who work with kids and child policy every day. Decisions made here in Columbus have a tremendous impact on children’s lives and it can be difficult for policymakers to balance competing priorities with limited resources and also to maintain a clear focus on the needs of children.
