2015 Regional Forums: Cleveland
PARTICIPATE.
SHOW SUPPORT.
STAY INFORMED.
Presented by UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and Platinum Sponsors CareSource and Delta Dental, Voices for Ohio's Children announces the 2015 Regional Forums! Between July and August, Voices will travel the road, making stops in 12 cities across Ohio, providing our local partners with afternoon updates on public policies impacting children and families.
Who Should Attend?
Advocates, educators, parents, students/youth, policy makers, physicans, child-care providers, nurses, child-serving agencies, social workers, counselors, local county officials, and anyone else who cares about children!
What Takes Place?
This year, we will discuss recent developments related to the passage of Ohio’s State Biennial Budget for state fiscal years 2016 – 2017 as well as federal issues such as the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the Maternal, Infant & Early Childhood Home Visiting (MEICHV) Program reauthorization, the Every Childs Achieves Act and the 21st Century Community Learning Centers amendment.
We’ll also be joined this year by our friends at the Ohio Afterschool Network to hear about policies and initiatives that have an impact on families, children and youth in Ohio. Finally, we’ll hear from YOU about the issues facing children and their families in communities all across the state. We want to know what problems are unique to your neighborhoods so that we can foster an environment where all of Ohio’s children can grow up safe, healthy, educated, connected and employable.
Attendance is free, however registration is required before each forum. You may register by filling in the form below. We look forward to seeing you on the road!
